Kenzie, Qualified Aid in the Infant 2 / Wadler Room
Hi, my name is Kenzie Wambach, I have worked at this center a little over a year, and I started off in the infant 1 room. I have done all of my child development classes and also interned at a head start program in buffalo along with play house in Monticello my junior and senior year. Before I started working here, I worked at Little Blessings in Anoka for a few months. I am from Aberdeen, South Dakota and currently living in Big Lake Minnesota. I love teaching because it gives me so much joy seeing the little ones laugh and smile all day because we are loving and helping them become such wonderful kiddos for their future. In my free time I like to go on walks. I also love going to get my hair done, very relaxing. I enjoy my job and look forward to watching your kids laugh and grow.
Tricia, Preschool Program Teacher
Hi! My name is Tricia Larson. I am one of the preschool program teachers here at New Creations. I have been with the center for several years, but have over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education from Rasmussen college and also have a degree in Veterinary Technology from Argosy University.
My husband, daughter and I live in Princeton with our two pups, Paisley and Henry. My daughter, Sonny, attends school at Kaleidoscope Charter School and loves coming to work with me over the summers and school breaks to visit with her friends. We also have 4 crabs; Ty, Penny, Nim and Saul.
My favorite things to do outside of work are hanging out with my family, doing artsy craftsy stuff, bible study and spending time outside.
Candy, Lead Teacher - Waddler Room
My name is Candi Merry, I am 39 years old and I was born and raised in the cities until about my junior year. I attended Maple Lake high school and I graduated in 1996. I went on to attend Anoka Technical College, to become a medical assistant, and I interned at Cook Rapids Medical Center but I never got my medical degree - maybe one day I'll go back and finish in the medical field. God had a different plan for me and that is okay.
I love to spend my time with my family, they are my best friends and I would not trade that for anything. We have 7 of us in our family; I have 2 older daughters that attend Big Lake High School, and a 13 year old that attends Big Lake Middle School. I also have 2 younger boys who attend Liberty Elementary. We all love the sport of basketball. My husband plays and all of my children play. We spend a lot of our time on the court, off the court, in the gym, and running the kids around to and from their games. We love to spend time on Ann Lake on our boats. We also like to spend our time walking on our farm. We also have 3 dogs, a lab named Maddy, a poodle named Daisy, and a collie whose name is Sadie, she is up in doggie heaven (RIP). I also have 6 cats, Milo, Misty, Sara, and Charlie, and 2 cats that are in kitty heaven, Turbo, and Bingo (RIP). I have a younger sister named Tabatha, and a brother-in-law named David who I spend a lot of time with, along with my mother Bonnie. Unfortunately my loving father, Orlan, has passed away in 2015, Love you DAD!
I love all seasons in Minnesota, from ice fishing to winter walks in the parks to bonfires in the backyard. I am more interested in the hot summer days and nights. I am most definitely a water girl. I love to float down the river and be on the pontoon.
I have been taking care of children most of my life; I have owned my own daycare back in 2006. I started at Lil Achievers where I was a teacher's assistant in all rooms. I made my way to become a lead staff in the toddler room; I was the lead teacher for 4 years in the toddler room. I ended up taking a leave of absence to take care of my terminally ill father. I came back in April of 2015 as a teacher's assistant in the waddler room, than I landed my final spot as Lead teacher in the waddler room. I enjoy a small group of children. I enjoy teaching them every day and I love the warm smiles on their faces each day. I enjoy working with a great group of girls and our director is amazing. She makes my days at NCC very welcoming and fun! I am always up for a challenge from room to room and I never miss a dress up day. CRAZY CANDY..lol.
Working at the day for the past 7 years, I have learned a lot from the parents, other teachers, and our director. They have taught me to become the team leader as I love to be. I come to work each day thinking they are my extended families. I have a positive attitude, and I take the leadership role in my classroom.

My name is Makayla Remer, I am 17 years old and I was born in Buffalo and raised in Big Lake. I am currently attending Big Lake High School and am planning on going to college at St. Cloud - most likely in the career field of childcare.

I started at Lil Achievers as a volunteer when I was 12 and in 2015, where I am an aide in all rooms. I currently spend most of my time in the infant and waddler room where I assist the lead teachers in their daily routines and their monthly curriculum.
My favorite part of my job is that I get to meet lots of kids and they all have their own personality and their own way of doing things. I am so glad to be able to be there for all of these kids - watching them grow and learn.
