Meet CourtneY

Valley View Site Director

Courtney is our wonderful site director here at our Valley View location in Apple Valley! She has been in the childcare industry for several years and has worked with all ages from Infants to School Age.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Courtney is passionate about working with children, parents, and staff to create a safe, loving, and faith-based home away from home! She loves building individual relationships to provide the children with the best quality of care she can!

When Courtney isn’t at the center, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her new puppy!

Katie's favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Arrival

Children participate in child-initiated activities and eat breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7:00-8:30. As children finish breakfast, they can visit learning centers or participate in individual or small-group activities until most children have arrived or are finished eating.

Group TimE

Teacher brings the group together for morning routines, calendar, sharing, featured activity, literacy-building, and discussion of the day’s activities and themes.

Small-Group Activities

Children choose from activities in the creative arts, dramatic play, writing, library, blocks, manipulatives, math, science and sensory learning centers. Teachers implement small-group activities, focusing on skill-building activities and observational assessment.

Outdoor Play

Children select from a variety of outdoor activities.

Bible Story and Prayer Time

12:45-2:30 PM

2:30-3 PM

3-3:15 PM

Lunch

Children wash hands, help set the tables, and prepare and eat lunch.

Group Time

Teachers read aloud to the children as they settle down for naps.

Rest and Quiet Work Time

Most children nap or rest quietly. As children wake from rest time, they can select from a variety of quiet choices, such as manipulatives, drawing and writing, books, or the listening center.
