Supporting the Whole Child with Expertise, Intention, and Partnership

At New Creations, we believe behavior is a form of communication—and every child deserves support that is responsive, respectful, and developmentally appropriate. That belief is brought to life through our Positive Behavior Guidance Program, a unique approach that sets New Creations apart.

We are proud to be the only child care organization in our region with dedicated, in-house Behavior Guidance Coaches who partner directly with classrooms, families, and community school districts to support children’s success—today and into kindergarten.

What Makes Our Approach Unique

Dedicated Behavior Guidance Coaches

Unlike traditional child care programs, New Creations employs a specialized team of Behavior Guidance Coaches who regularly visit classrooms to:

  • Observe children in their natural learning environment

  • Support teaching teams with real-time strategies

  • Identify patterns, triggers, and strengths

  • Develop individualized learning and behavior support plans

These coaches are not outsiders—they are fully integrated members of the New Creations team, ensuring consistency, follow-through, and alignment with our values, policies, and licensing requirements.

A Thoughtful, Tiered Support Process

Our Positive Behavior Guidance process is proactive, structured, and focused on growth—not punishment.

Classroom Observation & Documentation

Behavior Guidance Coaches begin by observing children and classroom environments, reviewing incident documentation, and partnering with site leadership to understand patterns and contributing factors.

Targeted Strategies & Implementation

When additional support is needed, coaches collaborate with teachers and leadership to implement specific strategies, tools, and environmental adjustments. These supports are documented and monitored to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

Family Partnership

Families are an essential part of the process. When behaviors persist, our team partners with parents or guardians to share observations, celebrate successes, and develop next steps together—all centered on the child’s individual needs.

Individualized Behavior Plans

If a child requires more formal support, our coaches help develop individualized behavior plans that align with:

  • Child development best practices

  • State licensing requirements

  • Parent Aware standards

  • The child’s home and school environment

Bridging Early Childhood and Kindergarten

New Creations is committed to setting children up for long-term success. Our Behavior Guidance Coaches work collaboratively with local school districts and early childhood services to help bridge the gap between preschool and kindergarten.

This includes:

  • Supporting early childhood screenings

  • Reviewing and aligning with IEPs and IFSPs (when applicable)

  • Communicating with district case managers and service providers

  • Ensuring classroom strategies align with what children will experience in their future school setting

This intentional partnership helps children transition confidently and smoothly into kindergarten.

Consistency, Accountability, and Care

Positive behavior guidance at New Creations is supported by clear policies, ongoing documentation, and collaborative follow-through. Our leadership teams, teachers, and Behavior Guidance Coaches work together to ensure strategies are implemented with fidelity and adjusted as children grow.

Every step of the process is rooted in:

  • Respect for the child

  • Support for classroom staff

  • Partnership with families

  • Commitment to safety, licensing, and accreditation standards
